Former NFL MVP QB Cam Newton to join New England Patriots in one-year incentive laden deal

Belichick does it again.

Legendary NFL head coach Bill Belichick shook up the world Sunday evening with the announcement the New England Patriots had signed free agent QB Cam Newton to a low-risk/high-reward one-year contract. The 2015 NFL MVP was cut in favor of Teddy Bridgewater after sub-par play over the last four years. Newton passed a physical in March and is recovering from both shoulder surgery and a Lisfranc injury.
